LIMOS alum­nus Liteng Zha (May 2017) was select­ed to receive the 2018 COTA Best Dis­ser­ta­tion Award for his dis­ser­ta­tion, “Mod­el­ing and Analy­sis of On-demand Ride-Sourc­ing Mar­kets.” This annu­al award rec­og­nizes an out­stand­ing stu­dent of Chi­nese nation­al­i­ty for his or her accom­plish­ments of pur­su­ing doc­tor­al degrees in the trans­porta­tion field. The award is pre­sent­ed by the Chi­nese Over­seas Trans­porta­tion Asso­ci­a­tion (COTA). Estab­lished in 1996, COTA is a non-prof­it pro­fes­sion­al orga­ni­za­tion reg­is­tered in Mary­land, Unit­ed States, whose mem­bers are Chi­nese pro­fes­sion­als and stu­dents who work or study over­seas in the trans­porta­tion or relat­ed fields.
