Professor Yafeng Yin has been recognized as the Donald Cleveland Collegiate Professor of Engineering in a ceremony on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
At the recognition ceremony, Steven L. Ceccio, the Interim Dean of Engineering, opened the event and acknowledged the legacy of Dr. Donald Cleveland. LIMOS alumni Daniel Vignon, Assistant Professor of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University, and Ziqi Song, Associate Professor of Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Buffalo, delivered commendable remarks praising Professor Yin’s exemplary work and mentorship. Professor Yin then delivered a lecture titled “Modeling Mobility: The Quest for Behavioral Realism in Travel Forecasting.”
Dean Ceccio concluded the event with his final remarks, congratulating Professor Yin on his significant accomplishments and presenting him with the professorship medal and chair. This recognition as the Donald Cleveland Collegiate Professor of Engineering reflects Professor Yin’s dedication to teaching, research, and publication, further solidifying his legacy at the University of Michigan.
